The next great challenge is coming:

We are looking for an experienced and commercially minded Senior Legal Counsel to join Room 8 Group, with a particular focus on employment law matters.

This is a hands-on, high-impact role for a lawyer who thrives in a fast-paced, international environment and wants to be a genuine business partner. Reporting directly to the VP of Legal, you will own a broad and varied portfolio of legal work across employment matters, commercial contracting, IP, and compliance.

As Room 8 Group continues to scale internationally, the Legal team plays a critical role in protecting the business, enabling growth, and ensuring we operate with integrity across every market we enter.

Superpowers you have:

• 5+ years of legal experience in commercial law, with at least 2 years in an in-house role within a technology, IT services, media, or gaming company.
• Strong hands-on experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating MSAs, SOWs, NDAs, and other B2B commercial agreements - you can run a contract negotiation end-to-end.
• Experience working across multiple legal jurisdictions - you're comfortable finding your way around an unfamiliar legal system quickly.
• A commercial mindset that prioritises workable solutions over theoretical risk avoidance - you know when to find a path forward.
• A clear, confident communicator who can translate legal complexity into plain language for business stakeholders at any level.
• A genuine interest in the games and technology industry.

You're a rockstar if you have:

• Strong knowledge of employment law and hands-on experience advising on employment matters, including hiring, terminations, contractor arrangements, and employee relations.
• Experience supporting international employment matters across multiple jurisdictions, including working with local counsel where required.

Becoming part of Room 8 Group, you will:

• Advise People Operations Team on employment law matters across multiple jurisdictions (Cyprus, Poland, the UK, Spain), including contracts, terminations, and workforce model structuring.
• Own the drafting, review, and negotiation of commercial contracts across the full portfolio - client agreements, MSAs, SOWs, licensing deals, vendor contracts, and NDAs.
• Serve as the day-to-day legal partner to Business Development, Client Services, HR, Finance, and Operations, delivering timely, commercially grounded advice.
• Maintain and improve the contract management system, standard templates, and clause libraries that help the business move faster without sacrificing legal rigour.
• Support the VP of Legal on M&A due diligence, corporate transactions, and strategic legal initiatives as the business continues to grow.
