Motive Workforce is partnering with a leading North American solar manufacturer to identify a Senior Legal Director / Corporate Counsel who will serve as the company's primary legal advisor. This is a high-impact leadership role supporting executive leadership, HR, operations, finance, and commercial teams across the U.S. and Canada.
The ideal candidate brings strong experience in employment law, commercial contracts, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and strategic business counsel. Experience supporting manufacturing, renewable energy, or other highly regulated industries is highly preferred.

What You'll Do
- Serve as the company's primary legal advisor across corporate operations.
- Provide guidance on employment law, labor relations, workplace investigations, policy development, and compliance.
- Draft, negotiate, and review commercial agreements, including customer, supplier, vendor, and strategic partnership contracts.
- Advise leadership on corporate governance matters, board activities, and business transactions.
- Support mergers, acquisitions, financing activities, and other strategic initiatives.
- Monitor changing federal, state, and local regulations affecting manufacturing and renewable energy operations.
- Partner with HR, finance, operations, procurement, engineering, and executive leadership on legal and business matters.
- Manage outside counsel, litigation, employment claims, and legal budgets.
- Support intellectual property matters, including patents and trademarks.
- Identify legal risks and develop practical solutions that support business objectives.
