Senior Electrical EngineerLocation: REMOTE, USA ( Michigan, Ohio, Illinois, and Indiana PREFFERED)Remote Option: EST candidates may be consideredDuration: 12-Month Contract (Potential Extension)Pay Rate: $45-50/hr W2OverviewWe are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to support critical engineering and operational initiatives within a large utility environment. This role is responsible for planning, conducting, and coordinating engineering activities related to system operations, shutdown scheduling, and system analysis.The ideal candidate brings strong analytical capabilities, practical field experience, and experience working with power system operational and planning tools such as CYME, EMS, PSSE, or TARA .This position plays a key role in coordinating complex shutdown schedules, supporting system study efforts, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across engineering and operations teams.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform power system analysis using operational criteria and engineering tools such as:CYMEEMSPSSETARAPartner closely with system study engineers and project schedulers to maintain accurate long-term shutdown schedulesOrganize and lead:Huddle meetingsShutdown schedule review meetingsCross-functional coordination meetingsCoordinate complex and back-to-back shutdown activities across multiple regions or operational areasDevelop and support engineering studies and operational improvement initiativesIdentify and propose solutions to engineering and operational challengesChampion continuous improvement initiatives focused on shutdown optimization and resource coordinationCollaborate with field employees, technicians, engineers, and operational personnel to ensure successful project executionRequired QualificationsBachelor's Degree in:Electrical EngineeringEngineering TechnologyOr related engineering discipline4+ years of relevant engineering experienceExperience with at least one of the following:CYMEEMSPSSETARAStrong understanding of power systems operations and engineering analysisExcellent communication and coordination skillsAbility to lead meetings and work cross-functionally across multiple teamsPreferred QualificationsUtility or energy industry experienceExperience supporting outage/shutdown coordination activitiesFamiliarity with operational planning and scheduling processesStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesWork EnvironmentHybrid schedule:Onsite Tuesday–ThursdayRemote Monday & FridayCollaborative engineering environment supporting large-scale utility operationsOpportunity to work on complex operational and system planning initiatives#J-18808-Ljbffr
