We have experienced rapid growth and are seeking a Senior Civil Engineer/Solid Waste Engineer to lead our program and/or design efforts in that space. The role can be exclusively a senior engineering technical position – or a senior Director/Program Manager working with our existing client base. We'll match the role and the location to fit your needs! The selected candidate will generally manage and lead projects in the solid waste sector involving landfill cell design, planning, design modifications, stormwater management system design, landfill closure, construction quality assurance, and solid waste permitting. Periodic travel is required based on project demands. This is an office‑based role – however the candidate will preferably office at one of our existing southeastern US locations and will need to lead engineers at one or more of those locations which include Richmond VA, Marietta GA, Columbia SC, or Tampa FL. We will consider other arrangements for the right person.This role will be required to manage and maintain contact with clients, manage schedules, and help support career development with staff engineers. This roll will also coordinate with our Environmental Science team and Landfill gas engineering team. This individual will need to be able to provide senior review/engineering certifications for a variety of tasks including construction drawings, engineering reports and letters, permit applications, calculations, business development, and proposals.
