GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Durham County Library is seeking an innovative professional to lead the East Regional Librarys Teen Services Unit. The Senior Librarian will oversee services, resources, and programming for teens at East Regional Library.
The ideal candidate will possess a passion for working with young people in libraries and their information needs. The Senior Librarian will be responsible for creating a safe and welcoming space for teens at the East Regional Library, with an emphasis on dynamic engagement of the community.
Work is performed with independence under the supervision of the East Regional Library Manager.
The position is based at the East Regional Library, but the selected candidate may be asked to work at other library locations.
Typical Schedule:
Monday: 11:45 a.m. - 8:15 p.m.
Tuesday: 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Wednesday: 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Thursday: 9:15 a.m. - 6:15 p.m.
Friday: 9:15 a.m. - 6:15 p.m.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule. This position includes one evening shift per week (Monday), every third Saturday, and every twelfth Sunday on a rotating basis (subject to change at any time).
