Senior Litigation Attorney

A growing, well-established real estate law firm in Milwaukee is seeking an experienced litigation attorney to join its dynamic and engaging litigation group. This role offers a tremendous opportunity for long-term advancement and professional development within a firm that values client relationships and courtroom excellence.

The successful candidate will regularly handle a wide variety of matters, including:

• Enforcement of property restrictions
• Contract disputes
• Construction defects
• Other real property litigation issues

Application Requirements

• Cover letter describing your skills and background
• Must be admitted to practice law in Wisconsin
• 5+ years of relevant litigation experience in real estate, corporate, or contract law, or in representing governmental organizations in civil litigation matters
• Demonstrated dedication and strong work ethic in prior roles
• Proficiency with Microsoft operating systems and other professional software
• Availability during standard business hours, as well as some evenings and weekends for client meetings
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Ability to manage a high project load and administrative staff
• In-depth knowledge and ability to independently manage a diverse caseload (assigned or personally originated)
• Experience chairing client and corporate meetings
• Strong organizational skills, including managing electronic task lists and billing
• Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive case status updates
• Proficiency across all phases of litigation, including:
  • Drafting complaints and answers
  • Discovery
  • Witness preparation
  • Taking and defending depositions
  • Motion practice
  • Trial preparation and conduct
  • Appellate work
