Senior Litigation Paralegal
Location: Washington, D.C. (Hybrid - 3 days onsite)
Overview
A leading international law firm is seeking a Senior Litigation Paralegal to support complex litigation matters across Washington, D.C. and New York. This role focuses heavily on cite-checking, Bluebook compliance, and high-level litigation support.
Strong mid-level candidates with exceptional Bluebooking and cite-checking skills will also be considered. This is a replacement role due to retirement.
Key Responsibilities
Perform advanced cite-checking and Bluebook formatting for briefs, memoranda, and filings
Prepare and update Tables of Authorities and Tables of Contents
Manage court filings in federal and local courts (including CM/ECF filings)
Maintain case files, dockets, and litigation calendars
Support deposition, hearing, and trial preparation, including exhibit and trial materials
Conduct legal research and maintain case documentation and chronologies
Assist with limited discovery-related tasks (e.g., document organization, redactions); dedicated eDiscovery support is available
Collaborate with attorneys and litigation teams across offices
Mentor junior paralegals and assist with workflow coordination
Qualifications
Significant experience supporting litigation matters in federal and/or state courts
Advanced Bluebook and cite-checking proficiency required
Trial experience not required
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal tools (e.g., Relativity, CM/ECF)
Compensation & Benefits
The anticipated salary range for this position is $115,000 - $140,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
