QUALIFICATIONS

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or ABA-approved Paralegal Certificate preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of litigation paralegal experience, preferably in complex litigation.
  • Strong proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with legal research platforms, including LexisNexis.
  • Strong knowledge of litigation procedures, court filings, discovery, and trial preparation.
  • Experience managing high-volume document productions and case files.
  • Strong calendar management, scheduling, and administrative support experience.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and billing expectations in a fast-paced practice.
RESPONSIBILITIES

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage all aspects of complex litigation matters from inception through trial and resolution.
  • Maintain case calendars and track all deadlines, hearings, court appearances, and litigation-related scheduling.
  • Organize, prepare, and maintain case files, binders, pleadings, correspondence, and exhibits.
  • Coordinate and manage document collection, review, production, and organization, including maintaining chain of custody and preparing privilege logs.
  • Maintain and organize hard copy and electronic case files, databases, and media.
  • Utilize document management systems and litigation databases while maintaining confidentiality and privacy protocols.
  • Conduct legal, factual, and investigative research using internal and external resources, including LexisNexis.
  • Prepare pleadings, motions, discovery responses, exhibits, and other legal documents for filing, including e-filing in accordance with court rules.
  • Assist attorneys in preparing for depositions, hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
  • Prepare trial materials, exhibits, demonstratives, and evidence, and coordinate trial logistics.
  • Research court rules, procedures, and filing requirements to ensure compliance.
  • Analyze and summarize documents, records, and research findings for attorneys.
  • Coordinate with internal departments, court personnel, clients, and outside vendors as needed.
  • Manage attorney calendars, meetings, depositions, and client communications to support case progression and workflow.
  • Prepare and manage attorney correspondence, scheduling, and other litigation-related administrative tasks.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements, meetings, and case-related logistics for attorneys, as needed.
  • Assist with billing support, time entry, expense submissions, and administrative workflow management.
  • Provide day-to-day administrative and organizational support to the Managing Partner and litigation team to ensure efficient case management and workflow.
  • Supervise and assist with workflow delegation to junior paralegals or support staff, as applicable.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to support litigation efficiency and effectiveness.
