Job Title: Senior Load Balancer Engineer 851
Location: Downey, CA 90242 (Hybrid)
Shift: 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
Assignment type: Temporary (12 months w/ high chance of extension or hire)
Pay rate: $70-$75/hour
Responsibilities:- Lead complex IT infrastructure installation, upgrades, testing, and support.
- Plan, configure, implement, and manage core system hardware/software.
- Install and maintain F5 LTM/GTM load balancers (virtual servers, pools, nodes, monitors, iRules).
- Provide load balancing support for AWS, Azure, GCP, and IBM Cloud.
- Monitor system health, perform upgrades, and implement required changes.
- Troubleshoot issues, recommend solutions, and assist with system architecture.
- Work with teams to test applications after changes.
- Upgrade hardware with minimal downtime and maintain security patching.
Qualifications:- Strong experience with F5 VIPRION LTM/GTM, virtual F5, and physical-to-virtual migrations.
- Knowledge of global/local load balancing, SSL acceleration, HTTP compression, caching, and DNS.
- 3+ years configuring and troubleshooting F5 VIPRION load balancing in enterprise environments.
- 3+ years working with Cisco networking equipment in enterprise environments.
- 2+ years configuring and troubleshooting cloud-based load balancers and network systems.
- Bachelors degree in IT, Engineering, or related field (experience may substitute).
