Overview:

We are seeking a SeniorLogistician to provide support to our Navy customer located at the Washington DC Navy Yard.  Position is onsite with the possibility of 1 day of telework per week. The Senior Logistician will work with the logistics and production teams in the Conventional Prompt Strike (CPS) program to generate schedules, recommendations, plans, performance metrics, and briefs to support overall logistics management. 

Responsibilities:
  • Administer all aspects of Integrated Product Support (IPS), in accordance with the Defense Acquisition University (DAU) IPS Element Guidebook, to include Product Support Management (PSM), Design Interface, Sustaining Engineering, Supply Support, Maintenance Planning and Management, and Packaging, Handling, Storage, and Transportation (PHS&T).
  • Support the development and maintenance of the Life Cycle Sustainment Plan (LCSP).
  • Provide support in the areas of Logistics Support Analysis (LSA) and Logistics Product Data (LPD) processes.
  • Candidate will manage the creation of sustainment artifacts based on LPD and prime contractor deliverables to help enable integration on intended platforms.
  • Make recommendations and prepare metrics to ensure fleet training requirements are met.
  • Brief senior military and Government civilian officials on relevant logistics and production issues. 

 

Qualifications:

Required skills:

  • Must have one of the following:
    • a) A bachelor's degree in a relevant field and at least 11 years of professional engineering experience, OR 
    • b) A master's degree in a relevant field and at least 10 years of professional experience, OR
    • c) No degree and at least 15 years of demonstrated experience in specific task area
  • Must have active DoD Secret Clearance and ability to sustain one
  • Proficient at technical writing and generating/writing requirements  
  • Prior Navy Logistics, Navy PEO IWS, Product Support for high dollar combat systems experience
  • Proficient in the MS Office Suite to include Power Point, Word, and Excel
  • Candidate must exhibit high attention to detail and be able to think critically to provide solutions 
  • Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to operate on short deadlines

Preferred skills:

  • NAVSEA, SYSCOM, PEO IWS experience
  • Acquisition experience with FAR and DFAR
  • Some travel involved
