Senior Maintenance Mechanic

Location: Queens County, New York
Shift: 1:00–9:00 p.m.
Pay: $45–$50/hour, based on experience

A well-established food manufacturer is seeking an experienced Senior Maintenance Mechanic to troubleshoot, repair, and improve production equipment within a high-volume manufacturing facility.

This opportunity is ideal for a mechanic who enjoys solving difficult equipment problems and wants hands-on ownership of both modern automation and legacy European machinery.

Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot molding, wrapping, packaging, cartoning, and conveyor equipment

• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and PLC-controlled equipment issues

• Repair motors, VFDs, sensors, pumps, gearboxes, pneumatics, and hydraulics

• Perform preventative maintenance and support equipment changeovers

• Read electrical schematics and work with systems up to 480V

• Help reduce downtime and improve equipment reliability

Qualifications:

• Industrial maintenance experience in food, beverage, pharmaceutical, or CPG manufacturing

• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities

• Working knowledge of PLC diagnostics

• Experience with high-speed packaging or automated production equipment

• Food manufacturing experience is strongly preferred
