Job Details

Responsibilities

  • Lead and guide the daily and weekly activities of the general maintenance team to ensure the plant operates at maximum efficiency with minimal downtime
  • Repair, program, inspect, troubleshoot, maintain, and adjust equipment and machines for optimal performance
  • Ensure preventative maintenance schedules are met and inspect facility conditions and equipment performance
  • Install, assemble, and test new production machines and industrial equipment
  • Inspect machines regularly for malfunctions utilizing both visual and sound inspection techniques
  • Adhere to all safety requirements including personal protective equipment guidelines
  • Prevent and report unsafe acts or conditions while strictly following lockout tagout procedures and process safety management guidelines
  • Perform emergency repairs by troubleshooting complex industrial systems promptly and effectively

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED combined with trade school, vocational training, or advanced technical training
  • 10+ years of experience in industrial manufacturing or skilled trades
  • Complete understanding of the theory, practical knowledge, and skills required to function as a master level mechanic safely and successfully
  • Demonstrated proficiency with routine general preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and high level repairs

Nice to Haves

  • Advanced technical expertise across maintenance fundamentals and electrical power systems
  • Strong foundation in mechanical concepts, electrical controls, pneumatics, and hydraulics
  • Specialized knowledge in analog drive control and programmable logic controllers
  • Advanced welding capabilities including Shielded Metal Arc Welding and Gas Tungsten Arc Welding
  • Proficiency in math for mechanics, industrial conveyors, wiring, motors, motor controls, mechanical drives, fabrication, and custom machinery assembly
