Eleven Recruiting is searching for a hands-on Senior Maintenance Technician for a well-established aerospace and defense manufacturer in Simi Valley, CA, to troubleshoot, repair and maintain manufacturing equipment across a diverse production environment. This role requires strong mechanical and electrical fundamentals, practical troubleshooting skills, and the ability to apply your experience to unfamiliar machinery.
The Role
You'll work with equipment ranging from CNC machines and hydraulic presses to automated systems and industrial ovens. We're looking for someone who understands how equipment works, can isolate a failure, and takes ownership of getting machinery back into reliable operation. The position focuses on production equipment maintenance building upkeep, HVAC, roofing and building plumbing are handled by a separate Facilities team.
Responsibilities:-
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic problems affecting manufacturing equipment.

Troubleshoot CNC machinery, hydraulic presses, welding machines, industrial sewing machines and custom-built production equipment.

Identify problems with automated gantries, PLC-controlled systems, electrical wiring, sensors and related controls.

Maintain and repair heat-treat ovens, thermal chambers, pumps and equipment using high-pressure air or compressed gases.

Use a systematic troubleshooting approach to identify failed components and determine appropriate repairs.

Perform preventive maintenance to support equipment reliability and reduce production interruptions.

Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, equipment manuals and technical instructions.

Record maintenance activities and repair details in HxGN EAM, the site's computerized maintenance management system.

Work with production personnel to understand equipment issues and communicate repair progress.

Follow established safety procedures when servicing electrical, mechanical and pressurized equipment.
Required Qualifications:-
5+ years of hands-on manufacturing equipment maintenance and repair experience.

Strong mechanical aptitude and electrical troubleshooting skills.

Experience servicing equipment with hydraulic and pneumatic components.

Ability to diagnose problems through inspection, testing and a logical process of elimination.

Experience performing preventive maintenance and documenting completed work.

Ability to read technical documentation and apply it to equipment repairs.

A resourceful approach to solving problems and learning unfamiliar equipment.

Strong communication, teamwork and follow-through.

Must meet U.S. export compliance / government contracting citizenship eligibility requirements (U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency).
Preferred Qualifications:-
CNC machine maintenance and repair.

Troubleshooting PLC-controlled equipment, automated machinery, sensors and electrical controls.

Maintenance of hydraulic presses, industrial ovens, welding equipment or high-pressure systems.

Experience with industrial sewing machines or custom-built machinery.

Familiarity with HxGN EAM or a comparable maintenance management system.
Pay Rate: $45/hr
