    Job Description
    Position Overview:

    We are seeking a skilled Mammography Technologist to join our team and perform high-quality mammographic imaging for the detection of breast cancer and other breast conditions. The ideal candidate will have experience operating mammography equipment, ensuring patient safety, and providing compassionate care to patients undergoing breast screening.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Perform mammographic procedures, including screening and diagnostic mammograms, in accordance with established protocols.
    • Prepare and position patients for mammography exams, ensuring comfort, safety, and proper positioning.
    • Operate and maintain mammography equipment to ensure the best possible imaging results.
    • Ensure patient histories are reviewed, and necessary information is gathered to ensure accurate imaging.
    • Explain the procedure to patients, addressing any concerns and providing reassurance.
    • Adhere to radiation safety protocols, minimizing exposure to patients and staff.
    • Ensure the quality of mammography images by performing appropriate quality control and troubleshooting when necessary.
    • Document patient information and imaging results in the medical record.
    • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and medical staff to ensure timely and accurate reporting of results.
    • Follow infection control and safety protocols in handling imaging equipment and patient care areas.
    Qualifications:
    • Education:
      • Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
    • Certification:
      • Certification as a Mammography Technologist (ARRT(M), or equivalent) required.
      • Valid state licensure in radiography (as required by state law).
    • Experience:
      • Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in mammography preferred.
