Senior Manager, Contingent Workforce

Location: Westchester County, NY (4 days onsite, 1 day remote)
Compensation: $60-72/hour
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week
Duration: 18-month contract, opportunity for extension

This highly visible role will support an enterprise-wide contingent workforce program, partnering with stakeholders across HR, Procurement, Finance, and business operations to drive workforce strategy, compliance, and process excellence.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager, Contingent Workforce to provide operational leadership for a large-scale non-employee workforce program. This individual will oversee day-to-day contingent workforce operations, drive process improvements, ensure compliance, and collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and external service partners to support a best-in-class workforce program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily contingent workforce operations and ensure consistent execution of program standards and policies
  • Partner with external workforce program providers to monitor operational performance, service delivery, and workflow adherence
  • Review KPIs and SLAs, identify trends, and implement process improvements and corrective actions
  • Conduct operational audits and drive remediation plans to improve program effectiveness and compliance
  • Maintain and enhance standard operating procedures, process documentation, and workflow maps
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for operational issues, supplier concerns, and system-related challenges
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on automation, efficiency, and program optimization
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, worker classification guidelines, sourcing standards, and applicable regulations
  • Manage workforce data quality, reporting accuracy, and system integrity
  • Collaborate with Procurement, HR, and business stakeholders to implement process enhancements and support workforce initiatives
  • Monitor contingent labor market trends, workforce risks, and industry best practices
  • Support strategic workforce planning efforts and contribute to ongoing program development

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 10+ years of experience in contingent workforce management, workforce operations, vendor management, procurement, HR operations, or a related field
  • Experience supporting large-scale contingent labor programs in complex organizations
  • Strong knowledge of Vendor Management Systems (VMS) and workforce management processes
  • Demonstrated success driving process improvements and operational excellence initiatives
  • Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and navigate complex organizational environments
  • Experience partnering with external service providers and managing workforce-related compliance initiatives
