Purpose & Scope:

We are seeking a self-motivated Senior Manager specializing in Full Stack Development and AI Engineering to lead

technical architecture, drive innovation, and mentor engineering teams within the Ralph Lauren Consumer Technology

division. This role combines full stack development expertise with advanced AI engineering and technical leadership. You

will drive the architecture and implementation of automation and AI initiatives, building robust, scalable solutions that

power our digital experiences. Leading cross-functional engineering teams, you will design AI-powered features, establish

best practices, and ensure the delivery of high-performance systems. Your deep understanding of modern software

engineering, cloud architecture, AI/ML frameworks, and the SDLC will be instrumental in elevating our technical

capabilities and accelerating innovation across the organization.

This position requires strategic collaboration with cross-functional Product, Engineering, Devops and QA teams, as well as

external technology partners, within an Agile framework to build cutting-edge software solutions while providing technical

leadership and driving engineering best practices across the organization.

This is an exceptional opportunity to influence our technical direction from the foundation and play a critical role in

advancing Ralph Lauren's global engineering innovation and AI-powered capabilities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Technical Leadership & Architecture: Lead and guide engineering teams in designing scalable full stack applications using React, React Native, Node.js, and Next.js while providing hands-on technical direction and mentoring on modern development practices.
  • Full Stack Development: Oversee and contribute hands-on to the development of high-performance web and mobile applications across the stack, guiding teams on best practices for React/Next.js frontends and Node.js backend services.
  • AI Engineering & Innovation: Lead AI initiative development using Azure AI Foundry services, guiding teams in integrating AI-powered features and collaborating with Data Science to productionize ML models with established governance frameworks.
  • Azure Cloud Infrastructure: Guide teams in designing and managing cloud-native solutions on Azure, including AKS containerization, APIM configuration, and ACR management while providing hands-on support for security and optimization.
  • DevOps & CI/CD: Lead the implementation of automated CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code practices, guiding teams in DevOps culture adoption with hands-on involvement in monitoring and observability solutions.
  • Quality & Testing Collaboration: Partner with QA teams to integrate automated testing frameworks into development workflows, providing technical guidance to ensure comprehensive test coverage and high-quality software delivery.
  • Database & Data Integration: Guide teams in integrating SQL and NoSQL databases, providing hands-on support for query optimization and data access layer implementation to ensure efficient data management.
  • Governance & Standards: Establish and enforce technical standards, coding best practices, security protocols, and compliance requirements across engineering teams to ensure consistent quality and adherence to corporate policies.
  • Collaboration & Agile Delivery: Lead cross-functional collaboration with Product, Design, Engineering, and QA teams in an Agile environment, effectively communicating technical strategy and guiding teams to deliver innovative solutions

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

Technical Expertise:

  • Strong expertise in full stack development with React, React Native, Node.js, and Next.js
  • Hands-on experience with Azure cloud services including AKS, APIM, ACR, and Azure AI Foundry
  • Proficiency in designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, including performance optimization and data integration
  • Strong understanding of microservices architecture, containerization, and cloud-native design patterns

AI & Innovation:

  • Demonstrated experience integrating AI/ML models and Large Language Models (LLMs) into production applications
  • Hands-on experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures and vector databases
  • Proficiency in prompt engineering, LLM fine-tuning, and optimizing AI model performance
  • Experience with AI orchestration frameworks and building intelligent applications using Azure OpenAI or similar services
  • Understanding of AI governance, model monitoring, ethical AI practices, and responsible AI frameworks
  • Experience collaborating with Data Science teams to productionize machine learning and generative AI solutions

Leadership & Collaboration:

  • Proven ability to lead technical architecture decisions and guide cross-functional teams
  • Strong communication skills with ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience establishing technical standards, best practices, and governance frameworks
  • Track record of driving innovation and continuous improvement in engineering practices

Quality & Testing:

  • Experience working with QA teams and integrating automated testing into development workflows
  • Understanding of testing strategies including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing

Knowledge of quality engineering principles and software development lifecycle best practices
