A global financial institution is seeking an experienced Anti-Bribery & Anti-Corruption (ABAC) professional to lead and enhance its enterprise compliance framework focused on bribery, corruption, and ethics-related risks. This role will play a critical part in strengthening governance, conducting risk assessments, overseeing investigations, and managing third-party compliance programs across a complex international organization.

The successful candidate will partner with Compliance, Legal, Risk, Internal Audit, Financial Crimes, and business leadership to ensure adherence to global anti-corruption regulations while promoting a strong culture of ethics, integrity, and accountability.

RESPONSIBILITIES

ABAC Program Leadership
  • Lead the ongoing development, implementation, and enhancement of the organization's anti-bribery and anti-corruption compliance framework.
  • Maintain and strengthen policies, procedures, governance standards, and internal controls designed to mitigate corruption-related risks.
  • Monitor regulatory developments and emerging industry trends impacting anti-corruption compliance programs.
  • Support strategic initiatives focused on improving program effectiveness and regulatory alignment.

Risk Assessment & Due Diligence
  • Conduct enterprise-wide bribery and corruption risk assessments across business units, products, services, and geographic regions.
  • Evaluate third-party relationships and business partnerships for potential corruption and reputational risks.
  • Oversee due diligence reviews involving vendors, intermediaries, consultants, and other external parties.
  • Develop and implement ongoing monitoring processes to identify and mitigate emerging risks.

Investigations & Remediation
  • Lead or support internal investigations involving allegations of bribery, corruption, misconduct, or related compliance concerns.
  • Analyze findings, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions and control enhancements.
  • Coordinate remediation efforts and track implementation of agreed-upon actions.
  • Provide guidance to senior stakeholders on complex ethics and compliance matters.

Regulatory & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Advise business leaders and control functions on anti-corruption laws, regulatory expectations, and compliance obligations.
  • Support regulatory examinations, audits, and inquiries related to ethics and compliance programs.
  • Partner with Legal, Financial Crimes, Internal Audit, Risk Management, and business teams on cross-functional compliance initiatives.
  • Develop training, awareness programs, and communication strategies to strengthen compliance culture.

QUALIFICATIONS

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 8 15+ years of experience within Compliance, Ethics & Compliance, Financial Crimes, Regulatory Risk, Legal, Internal Audit, or related control functions.
  • Deep knowledge of anti-bribery and anti-corruption regulations and compliance frameworks.
  • Experience conducting risk assessments, investigations, and third-party due diligence reviews.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise compliance, governance, and risk management practices.
  • Excellent analytical, investigative, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and partner effectively with senior leadership.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
  • J.D. Or other advanced degree.
  • Experience within banking, capital markets, fintech, payments, or other highly regulated financial services environments.
  • Professional certifications such as CAMS, CCEP, CRCM, ICA, CFE, or similar credentials.
  • Experience supporting global compliance programs across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Background in regulatory examinations, internal audits, or financial crime compliance programs.
