Senior Manager, Field Deployment, Oncology

The Sr Manager, Field Deployment (Oncology), leads the planning, design, and execution of Field Force Effectiveness (FFE) strategies for large, complex, or multi-brand Oncology franchises. This often includes franchises with significant alliance or co-promotion responsibilities, large or segmented national sales teams, and/or diverse go-to-market structures. The senior manager serves as a trusted strategic consultant accountable for resource allocation, sophisticated field deployment, effectiveness analytics, and day-to-day SFE operations, frequently overseeing external partnerships and cross-franchise coordination.

Strategic Field Force Effectiveness Leadership:

• Strategically plan and deliver field deployment, territory alignment, and sales structure recommendations for Oncology franchises or alliances often characterized by high complexity, portfolio breadth, or multi-team/partner models.
• Lead key FFE initiatives: process optimization, KPI alignment, territory design, sales process standardization, and best practice roll-out across large, complex cross-functional teams.
• Integrate FFE analytics and benchmarking to guide business decision-making and enable sustained field force productivity.

Analytics, Reporting, and Decision Support:

• Translate data and analytics into actionable business recommendations for field structure, go-to-market models, and resource investment.
• Lead the requirements and preparations of FFE dashboards, cycle reports, and analytics for senior leadership and alliance partners.
• Identify and measure critical success factors and KPIs for field teams and report risks/opportunities proactively.

Stakeholder and Alliance Management:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for brand, commercial, and alliance leadership on FFE strategy, resource reviews, and field effectiveness topics for assigned large or complex franchises.
• Lead regular engagement with internal and external partners, supporting consistency and capability-building across field teams.

Process Innovation, Change, and Capability Building:

• Drive continuous improvement in deployment and FFE capabilities; implement new methodologies, systems, and analytic tools as needed.
• Mentor and support development of new team members on FFE and field process excellence.

Compliance and Governance:

• Ensure that all FFE processes comply with AZ Policy, external regulations, and alliance agreements.

Span of Influence

Leads FFE for large, complex, or alliance-based Oncology franchises, typically covering broad multi-brand portfolios, national sales teams, and/or significant alliance or co-promote field organizations. Regularly engages major internal and external stakeholder networks.

Minimum Essential Requirements:

• 3+ years of Pharma/Biotech/Healthcare commercial experience (Sales, Sales Management, Marketing, SFE Commercial Operations) in roles of progressive responsibility with a consistent track record of strong performance.
• High School diploma minimum education required.
• Proven ability to design, plan and execute field force effectiveness strategies
• Strong leadership, communication, analytics, and project management skills
• The ability to hold yourself and others accountable
• The ability to work collaboratively across multiple areas or accountability (both direct and indirect)
• Strong commitment to customer success and customer experience
• Preferred Requirements:
• Ability to build and sustain positive relationships that influence with and without authority.
• Oncology or specialty care experience
• Demonstrated excellence in communication both written and orally.
• Experience in managing external partners and vendors.
• Experience with alliance, co-promote or multi-brand operations
• Forward thinking and able to adapt and flex according to business needs and priorities.
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Bachelor's Degree in relevant field. Advanced Degree preferred.

The annual base pay (or hourly rate of compensation) for this position ranges from $147,908.00 - $221,862.00. Our positions offer eligibility for various incentives-an opportunity to receive short-term incentive bonuses, equity-based awards for salaried roles and commissions for sales roles.
