Senior Manager, Member Experience Job Summary:

Sparks Group is seeking a Senior Manager, Member Experience for a federal contractor based in Washington, DC. This role is positioned at the intersection of mission execution and strategic innovation, converting classified government requirements into meaningful member engagement strategies that connect current and prospective members with valuable opportunities and ideal teaming partnerships. Working within secure environments, this individual will serve as a key conduit between government objectives and industry capabilities, driving collaboration and delivering mission-focused solutions with urgency.

This role requires you to have an active TS clearance and to work onsite in Washington, DC five (5) days a week.

Senior Manager, Member Experience Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and monitor classified or sensitive government priorities, capability deficiencies, and mission objectives within approved secure settings.
  • Evaluate emerging and established technologies through structured research to determine applicability to government missions.
  • Maintain strong awareness of defense, federal, and partner mission priorities, converting insights into strategic engagement initiatives.
  • Simplify complex government requirements into clear messaging for members and prospective organizations.
  • Lead focused outreach efforts to communicate mission priorities, opportunity areas, and engagement channels to members and prospects.
  • Guide onboarding by aligning organizational capabilities with government initiatives and strategic program goals.
  • Foster long-term member relationships to maintain awareness of shifting mission priorities and relevant opportunities.
  • Assess member capabilities across the network and create strategic connections between complementary organizations.
  • Develop and manage a systematic framework for building teaming partnerships that support proposal development and mission success.
  • Assist members in identifying collaboration opportunities for both classified and unclassified initiatives when applicable.
  • Strengthen cross-sector collaboration among industry, academic institutions, and government-connected organizations.
  • Consolidate intelligence from classified and open sources into actionable market insight reports.
  • Monitor defense and government market trends, capability developments, and ecosystem gaps.
  • Relay member capability insights to internal leadership to shape strategic direction and program development.
  • Function as a reliable bridge between government-derived intelligence and member communications strategies.
  • Create high-impact summaries, outreach campaigns, and communication assets for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ensure all communications adhere strictly to classification requirements and security standards.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage Member Experience Specialists and administrative personnel supporting member engagement initiatives.
  • Design, implement, and maintain consistent procedures to optimize all member-related operational workflows.
  • Act as the primary escalation resource for complex member issues, partnering with marketing leadership to drive resolution.

Senior Manager, Member Experience Requirements:

  • Active Top Secret (TS) clearance required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related discipline.
  • 7–10 years of progressive experience in business development, strategic partnerships, member engagement, marketing, or similar fields.
  • 3–5 years of demonstrated success leading customer, membership, or growth lifecycle strategies with measurable outcomes.
  • At least 5 years of direct leadership experience, including team oversight, coaching, and performance management.
  • Prior experience supporting defense organizations, federal contractors, or innovation-focused ecosystems.
  • Knowledge of OTA frameworks, government procurement pathways, or dual-use technology sectors.
  • Professional background in intelligence, engineering, technical sales, or program leadership preferred.
  • Established relationships within defense, government, or advanced technology sectors.
  • Proven experience operating within classified or sensitive government settings, with strong command of security procedures.
  • Deep familiarity with defense, national security, or federal mission priorities.
  • Exceptional ability to convert technical and mission-critical concepts into strategic business communications.
  • Experience in innovation ecosystems, strategic alliances, technical scouting, or business growth strategy.

Pay Range: Salary $145,000.00 to $155,000.00
