Position Summary:
Responsible for leading and optimizing the network operations to ensure maximum efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with industry regulations. This role involves strategic oversight, team leadership, and continuous improvement of the network operations, supporting the company's goals and enhancing overall performance.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Strategic Network Management:
- Develop and implement strategic plans for network operations to optimize routes, schedules, and capacity utilization
Operational Oversight:
- Oversee day-to-day network operations to ensure smooth, efficient, and reliable transportation of goods and passengers
Team Leadership:
- Lead and manage a team of network controllers and planners, providing direction, support, and professional development opportunities
Performance Monitoring:
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to network operations, such as on-time performance, capacity utilization, and cost efficiency
- Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
Data Analysis:
- Analyze operational data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for network optimization
- Utilize data-driven insights to inform decision-making and strategic planning
Coordination:
- Collaborate with other departments, including logistics, operations, customer service, and external partners, to ensure cohesive network operations and resolve any issues that arise
Compliance:
- Ensure all network operations comply with aviation regulations, safety standards, and company policies
- Stay updated on industry regulations and implement necessary changes to maintain compliance
Continuous Improvement:
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance network performance, reduce costs, and improve service quality
- Implement best practices and innovative solutions
Customer Focus:
- Work closely with the customer service team to address customer concerns related to network operations and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
Reporting:
- Prepare and present detailed reports on network performance, strategic initiatives, and operational challenges to senior management
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Aviation Management, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in network operations, logistics, or a related field, with significant experience in the aviation industry.
- Ability to work a variety of shifts within a 24 hour operation.
- Travel >15%
