Job Description :

Join the dynamic, locally based QualCare provider network team, supporting the regional provider network development and management for Workers' Compensation, Auto/PIP, and Group Health QualCare network products. Drive network adequacy, competitive positioning, and provider partnerships across hospital systems, IPAs, ASCs, and professional/ancillary providers. Manage and develop a team of negotiators supporting NJ and neighboring state markets. Reports directly to the Regional Director, New Jersey.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Strategic Network Leadership: Support and execute the QualCare provider network strategy to meet adequacy requirements while optimizing costs across multiple product lines
  • Provider Relationship Management: Build and maintain collaborative relationships with health systems, physician groups, IPAs, ASCs, and ancillary providers to enhance network competitiveness
  • Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and develop negotiation team through regular coaching, performance management, and capability building
  • Contract Negotiation: Oversee complex negotiations with major health systems, IPAs, and provider groups, ensuring favorable terms across workers' comp, auto/PIP, and group health products
  • Market Analysis: Analyze NJ market dynamics, competitive landscape, and regulatory changes to identify opportunities and risks
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with credentialing, provider data & rate loading, client services, regulatory, legal, and other teams to ensure seamless network operations
  • Performance Management: Maintain accountability for network adequacy, financial targets, compliance requirements, and client support

 

 

Qualifications:

 Required Qualifications:

 

  • Experience: 5-10 years healthcare contracting/network management experience with 3+ years leadership experience managing direct reports
  • Education: Bachelor's degree required; healthcare administration, business, or related field preferred
  • Core Competencies:
    • Proven track record negotiating hospital, health system, IPA, ASC, and professional provider contracts
    • Deep understanding of healthcare reimbursement methodologies across multiple product lines
    • Experience with Workers' Compensation and/or Auto/PIP preferred
    • Strong analytical skills for contract analysis and financial modeling
    • Excellent communication and relationship-building capabilities

 Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Master's degree or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of NJ healthcare market and regulatory environment
  • Experience with ancillary rate schedules and specialty provider contracting

The expected base pay for this position ranges from $98,000 - $120,000 annually, and will be based on a number of additional factors including skills, experience, and education.
