Our prestigious law firm is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Manager, Paralegal to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the department budget, planning, and implementing professional development programs, and managing a team of paralegals and legal assistants. Responsibilities:

As a Senior Manager, Paralegal, you will:

  • Oversee the daily operations of our paralegal department, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of legal services.
  • Manage and supervise a team of paralegals and legal assistants, providing guidance, training, and mentorship to foster their professional growth.
  • Oversee department budgeting, ensuring the optimal allocation of resources and cost-efficiency.
  • Plan and implement professional development programs for the paralegal team to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Collaborate with attorneys to manage complex commercial litigation cases, providing expert paralegal support as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with legal regulations and industry standards.
  • Some occasional travel may be required

Qualifications:

To be considered for the Senior Manager, Paralegal position, you must have:

  • A Bachelor's degree required. Paralegal certification required or ability to obtain one within six months of starting role
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a litigation paralegal, including management or leadership experience
  • Expertise in department budgeting and resource management.
  • Experience planning and implementing successful professional development programs preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and inspire a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • A thorough understanding of legal procedures, terminology, and documentation.
  • Proficiency in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.
