Role Overview The Senior Manager, Portfolio Financial and Resource Management is responsible for leading the financial planning, resource management, and demand management functions supporting the enterprise portfolio. This role ensures strategic initiatives are appropriately funded, resourced, prioritized, and governed to maximize organizational value. The Senior Manager partners closely with portfolio leadership, Finance, business leaders, technology teams, and project management organizations to optimize investment decisions, resource capacity, and portfolio performance through data-driven analysis, governance, and continuous improvement. Duties & Responsibilities Financial Portfolio Management Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and investment tracking for the enterprise portfolio Partner with Finance and business leaders to develop portfolio budgets, funding strategies, and investment recommendations Monitor capital and operating expenditures, financial performance, and budget utilization across the portfolio Analyze financial trends and provide recommendations to optimize portfolio investments and resource allocation Support business case development, investment analysis, and benefits realization activities Resource Planning and Capacity Management Develop and maintain enterprise resource planning and capacity management processes Monitor resource availability, utilization, and forecasted demand across portfolios and strategic initiatives Partner with business and technology leaders to optimize workforce planning and resource allocation Identify resource constraints and recommend strategies to address capacity gaps Support enterprise workforce planning through data-driven resource forecasting Portfolio Demand Management Manage enterprise demand intake, evaluation, prioritization, and approval processes Collaborate with stakeholders to assess new investment requests and ensure alignment with strategic objectives Balance competing priorities based on business value, funding availability, organizational capacity, and strategic goals Maintain portfolio demand pipelines and recommend prioritization adjustments as organizational priorities evolve Support governance forums by providing demand analysis and decision-making recommendations Portfolio Analysis and Reporting Develop financial models, scenario analyses, dashboards, and executive reports supporting portfolio decision-making Analyze portfolio performance, investment trends, resource utilization, and financial outcomes Prepare executive-level reporting and presentations for governance committees and senior leadership Utilize portfolio analytics to identify optimization opportunities and improve investment decisions Maintain accurate portfolio data to support strategic planning and forecasting activities Portfolio Financial and Resource Governance & Risk Management Support governance processes for portfolio financial management, resource allocation, and investment oversight Monitor financial, resource, and capacity risks across the enterprise portfolio Identify potential funding, staffing, and delivery risks and recommend mitigation strategies Ensure compliance with portfolio governance standards, financial controls, and organizational policies Support audit activities and maintain documentation supporting governance and decision-making Process Excellence and Continuous Improvement Identify opportunities to improve portfolio financial management, resource planning, and demand management processes Develop standardized tools, templates, metrics, and reporting processes that improve consistency and efficiency Promote data quality, process automation, and operational excellence across portfolio management activities Support implementation of portfolio management tools and continuous improvement initiatives Foster a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and operational effectiveness Experience & Qualifications Education Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience) Business Administration, Organizational Development, Human Resources, Communications, Psychology, or a related field required. Experience Minimum 8 years Progressive experience in portfolio financial management, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), resource management, portfolio management, PMO, or related functions Minimum 5 years Leadership or people management experience Minimum 5 years Demonstrated experience managing enterprise portfolio budgets, forecasting, and investment planning; Experience developing resource capacity plans, demand management processes, and portfolio analytics; Proven success supporting executive decision-making through financial analysis, reporting, and scenario planning; Experience working in cross-functional environments supporting business and technology organizations; Experience with enterprise portfolio management or project portfolio management practices Licenses and Certifications (Preferred ) PMP - Project Management Professional Portfolio Management Professional (PfMP) Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) Certified Management Accountant (CMA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) Software/Technical Skills Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Office Suite skills Proficiency with enterprise portfolio management tools such as Planview, ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM), Clarity PPM, Microsoft Project Online, or similar platforms Knowlege of business intelligence and visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar analytics platforms Familiarity with project and program management methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery approaches Other Skills/Knowledge/Abilities Strong financial acumen and knowledge of portfolio financial management, budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, scenario planning, data analysis, and investment planning Knowledge of resource planning, workforce capacity management, portfolio governance, financial controls, risk management practices, and demand management methodologies Ability to develop executive dashboards, KPIs, and portfolio performance reporting Ability to lead portfolio financial initiatives and align them organizational strategy and business priorities Exceptional collaboration skills with a demonstrated ability to build trusted partnerships across Finance, business, technology, portfolio management, and operational teams while balancing competing priorities and organizational capacity. Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial and portfolio information clearly to senior leadership and governance committees. Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify trends, evaluate risks, optimize resource allocation, and develop practical, data-driven solutions. Subject to business needs, employees may work remotely up to two days per week. Assigned office days will be determined by your manager. #LI-Hybrid Base Salary The targeted base salary range for this position is $150,000 - $175,000 per year. Base salary is determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the successful candidate, as well as factors such as internal equity, cost of labor in the hiring location, and alignment with market data. Additional Compensation This position is eligible for a 20% bonus at 100% of target, with the opportunity to achieve above 100% dependent on company performance and in alignment with company bonus plans. Bonus awards are discretionary and contingent upon individual performance as well as Brother achieving its corporate objectives, in accordance with the applicable bonus plan in effect. About Where We Work Brother's corporate headquarters for the Americas is in Bridgewater, NJ, across from the Bridgewater Commons Mall. This location houses key corporate functions, including HR, legal, finance, IT, and supply chain, and a significant presence of our business unit leadership and marketing teams. Our manufacturing and distribution facility in Bartlett, TN spans an impressive 1.5 million square feet - equivalent to 26 football fields - and is located on Brother Boulevard. In addition to the distribution center operations team, this facility hosts several other departments, including our customer service group.
