Description

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience is required plus a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 8 years relevant experience to meet managerial expectations.

 

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities for this Position

REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND TASKS:

Portfolio & Transaction Management

  • Develop and execute real estate portfolio strategies that align with enterprise growth, operational requirements, and financial objectives.
  • Lead all aspects of real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, lease negotiations, renewals, extensions, and terminations.
  • Evaluate market conditions, business needs, and financial analyses to support site selection and real estate investment decisions.
  • Manage relationships with landlords, brokers, developers, and other external real estate partners to achieve favorable business outcomes.
  • Prepare and present business cases, financial analyses, and executive recommendations for real estate transactions and associated capital investments.
  • Ensure accurate management of critical lease obligations, renewals, options, and financial commitments.
  • Track portfolio metrics, occupancy trends, and financial performance to identify opportunities for optimization and continuous improvement.
  • Lead due diligence activities for acquisitions, dispositions, and strategic real estate initiatives.

Workplace Strategy & Planning

  • Lead workplace strategy and long-range capacity planning to support business growth and evolving operational needs.
  • Optimize space utilization through strategic workplace planning that enhances collaboration, employee experience, and productivity.
  • Define, maintain, and help implement workplace standards across a diverse and dynamic portfolio
  • Partner with business leaders to develop workplace solutions aligned with operational objectives and organizational priorities.
  • Evaluate current and future space requirements to ensure the real estate portfolio supports enterprise growth and business continuity.
  • Translate business strategies into actionable workplace and occupancy plans that maximize portfolio performance and cost efficiency. 

 

Governance / Compliance

  • Ensure all real estate activities comply with corporate governance, delegated authority, financial controls, audit standards, and enterprise risk management policies.
  • Establish portfolio performance metrics, executive dashboards, and governance frameworks to monitor financial performance, transaction status, occupancy, lease obligations, and strategic initiatives.
  • Drive continuous improvement through process standardization, automation, and enhanced data quality to increase operational efficiency and decision-making effectiveness.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, continuous improvement, and customer-focused service within the Real Estate & Workplace function.

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Knowledge of commercial real estate portfolio management and lease administration.
  • Expertise in workplace strategy, occupancy planning, and space utilization.
  • Experience leading real estate transactions, including lease negotiations and site selection.
  • Understanding of capital planning, operating budgets, and financial analysis.
  • Familiarity with real estate financial modeling and portfolio analytics.
  • Ability to interpret market trends and develop long-range portfolio strategies.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proven leader and change agent with a professional, positive, and collaborative approach.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence senior business leaders.
  • Identifies opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation.

Locations

This role is preferred to be located in the northeast or Northern Virginia/DC Metro area. 

 

Travel

This role can expect to travel for approximately 20% of the time. 

Salary Note

This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.

Combined Salary Range

USD $170,761.00 - USD $184,769.00 /Yr.
