We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager to join our Risk Advisory Services practice. This is a leadership opportunity for a proven risk advisory professional who enjoys building strong client relationships, leading high-performing teams, and helping organizations navigate complex risk, control, and compliance matters. As a Senior Manager, you will oversee multiple client engagements, serve as a trusted advisor to key clients, develop and mentor team members, and contribute to the continued growth and success of the Risk Advisory Services practice.

What You'll Do
Lead Client Relationships
Serve as a senior relationship leader and trusted advisor for key clients.
Lead executive-level discussions related to engagement planning, risk insights, recommendations, and results.
Oversee multiple client engagements to ensure consistent, high-quality service and alignment with client expectations.
Anticipate client needs and identify opportunities to expand services and strengthen relationships.
Navigate complex client situations with sound judgment and professionalism.
Maintain appropriate security and confidentiality when handling sensitive client information.
Provide Technical & Engagement Leadership
Provide strategic oversight of engagement planning, including risk assessments, scoping, staffing, and resource allocation.
Review and approve key engagement deliverables for quality and compliance with professional standards and firm methodology.
Serve as a subject matter resource on complex risk, control, and compliance matters.
Apply advanced knowledge of relevant risk, control, and compliance frameworks in complex client environments.
Promote consistency, quality, and effective execution across engagement teams.
Develop & Lead People
Lead, coach, and develop Managers, Supervisors, Seniors, and Staff.
Establish clear performance expectations and provide meaningful, ongoing feedback.
Support team members in their professional development and career progression.
Participate in recruiting, onboarding, development, and retention initiatives.
Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and exceptional client service.
Drive Growth & Profitability
Oversee engagement performance across a portfolio of clients, including budgets, realization, billing, timelines, and overall financial performance.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities.
Support proposals, pricing discussions, and other business development activities.
Expand existing client relationships through additional services and cross-selling opportunities.
Contribute to strategic initiatives, service line development, and market positioning.
Identify opportunities to improve processes, workflows, resource utilization, and overall practice efficiency.
Champion Technology & Innovation
Champion the responsible use of firm-approved AI tools, automation, and emerging technologies to improve efficiency, service delivery, and scalability.
Ensure appropriate human review and professional judgment are applied to technology-assisted work.
Support the development and implementation of methodologies, templates, tools, and best practices across the practice.
Stay current on industry trends, regulatory developments, emerging risks, and evolving client needs.
Position Requirements
What We're Looking For
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.
8+ years of relevant experience in audit, risk advisory, compliance, or related professional services.
CPA, CISA, CIA, or equivalent professional certification.
Demonstrated ability to successfully manage a portfolio of client engagements, relationships, and teams.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Experience communicating and presenting effectively to executives and senior client leadership.
Strong leadership, project management, problem-solving, and professional judgment skills.
Preferred Qualifications
The salary range for this position is $160,000 to $225,000. Actual compensation within the range will be determined based on a variety of factors, including the candidate's skills, experience, qualifications, geographic location, internal equity, and business needs. Placement within the range is at PBMares' discretion and is based on the specific circumstances of each candidate and position. PBMares also offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, a 401(k) retirement plan, paid holidays, paid time off, and other employee benefit programs.
