    • Drive the continued evolution from a transactional purchasing model to a strategic sourcing and procurement function that delivers supplier value, mitigates risk, and supports Cincinnati site and enterprise objectives.
    • Develop and execute sourcing, purchasing, supplier-management, and inventory strategies that support service, quality, risk, and cost objectives.
    • Develop supplier monitoring metrics for performance, quality, capacity, lead times, pricing, and supply risk; lead mitigation plans and escalate material risks as appropriate.

    • Ensure accurate and compliant import classifications and Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) data for Cincinnati materials and finished products are established, maintained, and appropriately applied in partnership with Trade Compliance.
    • Recommend and select suppliers in accordance with the Quality System and supply chain strategy.
    • Lead competitive bids, obtain quotations, negotiate pricing and commercial terms, and initiate supply agreements in accordance with company policies.
    • Represent Materials Management on Quality Review Board; assist in resolving material quality, supplier, and supply-continuity issues.
    • Work with electric and gas utility providers to secure best pricing for energy consumption requirements and partners with the Facilities teams and ESG Working Group to reduce environmental impact of the Company’s operations over time.
    • Collaborate with Project Managers, Engineering, and Quality on purchased-material requirements for new product development, product changes, and supplier changes.
    • Support value analysis, cost-reduction, and total-cost-of-ownership initiatives for Cincinnati operations and other Diagnostics sites based on business need.
    • Lead or support major supply chain improvement projects, such as ERP, automation, process standardization, or supplier-performance initiatives, with a primary focus on Cincinnati Diagnostics.
    • Function as a leader and facilitator for best-practice sharing, and policy implementation to other Diagnostics sites as necessary.
    • Work with Life Science Supply Chain and Procurement colleagues, when commercially and operationally appropriate, to consolidate spend, align supplier strategies, and leverage combined purchasing volume.
    • Accepts fiduciary responsibility for sourcing and communicates and maintains adherence to Merdian’s corporate policies and procedures.
    • Build an inclusive, accountable team culture focused on customer service, collaboration, continuous improvement, and results.
    • Other duties as assigned.
