Job Summary and QualificationsPosition is located in Nashville, TN at the Capital View office: 1100 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. Nashville, TN 37203As the Senior Manager Strategic Sourcing - Facilities and Capital Construction Programs, you are responsible for negotiating industry-leading national agreements for the group purchasing organization (GPO) in the area of Facilities Operations and Capital Construction. The Sr Strategic Sourcing Manager focuses on identifying supply sources, supplier contracts, and supplier management. The goal is to secure best-in-class industry pricing and contract terms for the members of the GPO. This position may also be responsible for leading and overseeing ad-hoc member projects and other program involvement including CaPPS and others under Manager's direction. The individual should possess knowledge or experience in principles and concepts related to design and construction, sourcing, contract/vendor management and strong implementation and project management skills.Major ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement strategic sourcing plans across client program.Position's key area of focus will be sourcing initiatives that are primarily categories with medium to high complexity, risk and sensitivity. Individual will own the negotiation of a portfolio in the spend range of $100m-$200m annually. Position may have some responsibility for other types of categories and projects for the purposes of development and workload allocation.Individual will follow standard practices and policies in analyzing situations/data, but leverages their ideas and thought leadership to develop strategies and solve a range of challenges and opportunities.Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers for optimal terms. Driving continuous improvement in sourcing and implementation processes.Conduct market research and stay updated on industry trends.Manage supplier relationships to ensure performance and cost-effectiveness.Proactively engage with vendors to mitigate and/or resolve supply chain issues.Oversee contract development, execution, implementation and compliance.Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align sourcing strategies with business objectives.Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for sourcing and supplier activities.Manage bulk-commitments & bulk buy programs with internal project accounting teams.Manage bulk buy commitments per project, by vendor, with insight and tracking of need-by, manufacturing & delivery dates.Plan and execute project timelines for assigned categories.Analyze spend and quantity data for both commodity and non-commodity items.Translate objectives into project planning priorities, create and manage work plans, and finalize negotiations within designated timeframes.Create and manage work plans and timelines.Collaborate interdepartmentally and cross-functionally to ensure data collection and communication of project goals and outcomes.Develop strategies for complex categories with managers guidance.Understand or learn the product categories assigned and how end-user interfaces with the products.Manage the sourcing process for the assigned portfolio, including market research, bid preparation, supplier evaluations, RFI/RFP, contract negotiations, and contract launch.Present and validate category strategies and final awards with customer-led Advisory Boards and executive-level Supply Chain Board.Oversee supplier relationships and participate in business reviews.Build and maintain customer relationships through internal/external team presentations.Build stable working relationships with customers through member engagement, effective communication and deep understanding of customer needs.Collaborate with legal, financial, and account management teams.Meet/exceed financial and operational goals in the annual contracting plan.Maintain timely achievement of sourcing initiatives adhering to policies and procedures.Maintain forecasting of equipment and materials with suppliers ensuring Owner's project pipeline.REQUIREMENTSBachelor's degree in construction management, supply chain management, business administration or related - RequiredMinimum of 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, supply chain management, or construction management - RequiredCertified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or similar certification - PreferredProject Management experience highly preferred.In today's challenging business environment of cost pressures, supply disruptions, and workforce shortages, it is crucial for providers to efficiently manage expenses and enhance performance.
