Job Details

This is a unique opportunity to work with a top public accounting while advising and representing clients in a wide variety of tax controversy matters.

Overview:
  • Researches and analyzes proposed tax positions. Drafts technical memoranda regarding income and tax questions.
  • Represents clients in tax Audits (federal, state, local, income, sales and other types of taxes.)
  • Responds to tax notices, collection actions, voluntary disclosures, and delinquent FBAR issues.
  • Assist with estate planning - reviewing wills, drafting memos, building flow charts for clients, summarizing memos for family law clients, etc.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a Master's degree with an emphasis in Accounting or Law.
  • 10+ years of relevant tax controversy experience, preferably with another public accounting firm.
  • CPA, JD, LLM

Preferred: Previous experience with the IRS
