Team Overview
Technology Resiliency is responsible for ensuring critical business services remain available, recoverable, and resilient in the face of disruption. The team partners across infrastructure, engineering, cloud, operations, and business stakeholders to strengthen the organization's ability to prevent, withstand, and recover from technology incidents.
As a Senior Manager, Technical Resiliency, you will lead the development and execution of enterprise resiliency strategies across a complex hybrid environment spanning on-premises, cloud, and SaaS platforms. This role provides the opportunity to influence enterprise-wide resiliency capabilities, lead large-scale recovery exercises, drive automation initiatives, and help shape the future of technology resilience across the organization.
What You'll Do
- Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of enterprise resiliency and disaster recovery capabilities across critical technology platforms.
- Plan and execute failover, failback, tabletop, and simulation exercises to validate recovery readiness and strengthen organizational resilience.
- Partner with engineering, infrastructure, cloud, and business teams to identify risks, improve recovery strategies, and embed resiliency best practices.
- Develop and maintain recovery runbooks, dependency maps, and resiliency standards that support effective incident response and recovery.
- Drive automation and orchestration initiatives that improve recovery speed, consistency, and operational efficiency.
- Establish and monitor resiliency metrics, including recovery testing outcomes, RTO/RPO achievement, and remediation progress.
- Lead post-exercise reviews and continuous improvement efforts to address resiliency gaps and reduce operational risk.
- Provide technical leadership and strategic direction to advance enterprise resiliency programs, governance, and long-term readiness.
What Experience You'll Need:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8+ years of experience in technology resiliency, disaster recovery, infrastructure engineering, cloud operations, site reliability engineering, or related technical disciplines.
- Experience developing, implementing, or supporting disaster recovery and resiliency programs in complex enterprise environments.
- Knowledge of high availability, fault tolerance, backup and recovery, and business continuity principles.
- Experience supporting hybrid technology environments that include on-premises infrastructure, cloud platforms, and SaaS solutions.
- Ability to coordinate and influence cross-functional teams to achieve shared resiliency objectives.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and risk-management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
What Could Set You Apart:
- 10+ years of experience in technology resiliency, disaster recovery, infrastructure engineering, or related areas.
- Experience designing and leading large-scale failover and recovery testing programs.
- Knowledge of resiliency architectures, multi-region recovery strategies, and enterprise dependency mapping.
- Experience with resiliency, observability, or service-mapping tools such as ServiceNow, Dynatrace, or AppDynamics.
- Familiarity with backup and recovery platforms such as Rubrik, Commvault, NetBackup, or Veeam.
- Experience with recovery orchestration tools such as Azure Site Recovery, VMware SRM, AWS Elastic Disaster Recovery, Zerto, or similar technologies.
- Experience with scripting, automation, or Infrastructure as Code tools, including Python, PowerShell, Terraform, or comparable technologies.
- Relevant certifications such as CBCP, MBCI, AWS, Azure, VMware, ITIL, or related resiliency, cloud, or infrastructure certifications.
Candidates that live within a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office four days per week effective June 1, 2026. Before June 1, 2026, candidates that live within a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office three days per week, with preference for Tuesday through Thursday.
