We believe in the importance of in-office collaboration and fully intend for the selected candidate for this role to work on site in the specified location(s).
As Schwab continues to expand its digital asset capabilities, the Technology Risk Management (TRM) team plays a critical role in helping the firm deliver secure, resilient, and compliant solutions in a rapidly evolving regulatory and technology environment. Within Corporate Risk Management, the Digital Asset Oversight team provides independent risk oversight and effective challenge of first-line activities supporting Schwab's digital asset strategy, products, and supporting technology ecosystem.
In this role, you will partner closely with digital asset business leaders, technology engineering teams, cybersecurity architects, and risk partners to evaluate technology and information security risks associated with digital asset products and services. Using your expertise in cybersecurity, blockchain technology, risk management, and regulatory compliance, you will assess emerging risks, evaluate control effectiveness, and influence decisions that strengthen Schwab's risk posture. You will help drive risk and control assessments, thematic reviews, threat-informed evaluations, issue management activities, and reporting processes that provide leadership with meaningful insight into digital asset-related risk.
Success in this role comes from balancing strategic thinking with analytical rigor, identifying opportunities to strengthen controls, improving risk visibility, and building collaborative relationships across multiple stakeholder groups. Your work will directly contribute to informed decision-making, support the maturity of first-line risk management practices, and help safeguard Schwab clients while enabling innovation within the digital asset space. Through close partnership with business and technology teams, you will have the opportunity to influence how Schwab manages risk, adapts to regulatory developments, and evolves its digital asset offerings over time.
