Description
This Senior Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for:
- Leading and directing manufacturing process development and continuous improvement activities.
- Developing, implementing, and maintaining work instructions, SOPs, and manufacturing specifications.
- Designing and improving tooling, fixtures, and production methods for high-reliability aerospace hardware.
- Providing technical guidance and training to production teams and supervisors.Collaborating with engineering, quality, supply chain, testing, and program management teams.
- Implementing statistical process controls and driving product quality improvements.
- Planning manufacturing process activities to align with production schedules and operational needs.
- Evaluating, selecting, and ordering tooling, materials, and equipment to support operations.
Profile
A Successful Senior Manufacturing Engineer will have:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- 7+ years of manufacturing engineering experience, ideally within aerospace, defense, or space industries.
- Experience supporting propulsion, flight hardware, or other high-reliability products.
- Strong knowledge of GD&T and manufacturing best practices.
- Experience with CAD tools and MES platforms.
- Ability to work independently, make decisions, and drive initiatives with minimal oversight.
- Cleanroom manufacturing experience preferred.
- Experience with thermal/vacuum systems, optical alignment, or spaceflight hardware preferred.
