Senior Manufacturing Engineer
We are seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to lead the development, improvement, and sustainment of manufacturing processes supporting modular and complex electromechanical products. This role is responsible for driving assembly and integration process design, production sequencing, tooling development, workstation optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure efficient, high-quality, and repeatable manufacturing operations.

The ideal candidate will partner closely with Design Engineering, Quality, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to improve manufacturability, reduce waste, optimize throughput, and support scalable production execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead development and continuous improvement of manufacturing, assembly, integration, and testing processes
  • Partner with Design Engineering to identify and mitigate DFM/DFMA risks during product development and production launch
  • Design and improve tooling, fixtures, jigs, material handling solutions, and workstation layouts
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation including work instructions, process flows, routings, control plans, and validation records
  • Review and refine engineering/shop drawings to ensure alignment with production sequencing and manufacturing requirements
  • Support development and maintenance of manufacturing BOMs, routings, and ERP system data
  • Lead lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives including value stream mapping, standard work, flow optimization, and waste reduction
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to improve quality, throughput, cycle time, and First Pass Yield (FPY)
  • Conduct root cause analysis using methodologies such as DMAIC, 8D, and 5-Why
  • Support pilot builds, engineering builds, and process validation activities to ensure scalable and repeatable production readiness
  • Drive manufacturing process standardization and operational excellence initiatives
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related technical field
  • 5-10+ years of experience in manufacturing or process engineering within complex electromechanical, modular, prefab, or industrial manufacturing environments
  • Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, continuous improvement tools, and workstation optimization
  • Experience with assembly sequencing, line layout, ergonomics, and manufacturing flow optimization
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems, BOM management, routings, and process controls
  • Experience developing manufacturing processes, documentation, and standardized work instructions
  • Strong understanding of DFM/DFMA methodologies, GD&T, and engineering drawing interpretation
  • Experience reviewing shop drawings and aligning engineering documentation with manufacturing requirements
  • Proficiency with CAD tools for process layouts, tooling concepts, and manufacturing support
  • Background in modular systems, power infrastructure, data center products, or complex assembly environments preferred
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work across engineering, manufacturing, quality, and operations teams
Preferred Experience:
  • Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma methodologies
  • Continuous improvement leadership
  • Process validation and production launch support
  • Manufacturing support for highly integrated mechanical/electrical assemblies
