Job Description

The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will serve as a technical leader, working closely with production, quality, and engineering teams to develop robust manufacturing solutions that improve efficiency, quality, and overall operational performance.

Established advanced manufacturing company focused on the development and production of complex, precision-engineered components supporting critical end-use applications.

Description

  • Lead the development, implementation, and optimization of manufacturing processes for both new and existing products.
  • Provide day-to-day engineering support to production operations, troubleshooting manufacturing challenges and identifying sustainable solutions.
  • Design and develop tooling, fixtures, workholding solutions, and manufacturing methods that improve productivity and process capability.
  • Create and refine CNC machining programs utilizing industry-standard programming software.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, efficiency, throughput, and cost reduction.
  • Manage multiple engineering projects simultaneously while maintaining timelines and deliverables.
  • Support process validation activities and maintain validated manufacturing processes.
  • Develop and update manufacturing documentation, work instructions, process specifications, and standard operating procedures.
  • Partner with quality teams to ensure compliance with applicable quality standards and manufacturing requirements.
  • Analyze production data and recommend process improvements based on measurable results.
  • Support equipment qualifications, process capability studies, and root cause investigations.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to support customer requirements, product launches, and operational objectives.

Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • 7+ years of manufacturing engineering experience within a precision manufacturing environment.
  • Strong background in CNC machining, grinding operations, manufacturing process development, and production support.
  • Experience developing machining programs and optimizing manufacturing processes.
  • Proficiency with CAD and 3D modeling software for tooling, fixture, and manufacturing system design.
  • Solid understanding of blueprint interpretation, GD&T, tolerancing, and inspection methodologies.
  • Experience working with precision components and tight-tolerance manufacturing processes.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to balance hands-on technical work with strategic process improvement initiatives.
