the senior manufacturing engineer will support daily production as well as cost reduction initiatives using the tools of Lean Production and Six Sigma.Primary ResponsibilitiesMaintain process flow by coordinating with planners and assigning daily jobs accordingly.Proved assistance and specific instruction as needed.Assess and provide probable solutions to production related issues and concerns.Make equipment upgrades and improvements that apply principles of lean production.Coordinate machine repair and maintenance requirements.Act as a coach and facilitator when personnel issues arise.Complete Six Sigma/Cost Reduction projects.Active on improvement teams.Provide support in improvement activities.Knowledge and SkillsRequired-Knowledge of assembly processes, skilled trades, quality engineering, and lean production. Excellent computer skills. General knowledge of hydraulic systems and test equipment.Needed-Experience in the implementation of Lean Production.Desirable-Six Sigma greenbelt status.Proven ability to facilitate change and knowledge of lean tools.Knowledge of CNC – Fanuc machine programming. Must understand and use G &M codes and macro programs and variables.General understanding of manufacturing processes and thorough knowledge of tooling/programming.Experience with ID grinding, OD plunge form grinding, and centerless grinding processes and machinery.Experience with conventional and CBN abrasives and their applications.High level of mechanical aptitude and desire to work in a hands on manufacturing environmentAdditional InformationAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.Job Location#J-18808-Ljbffr
