    Description

    Job SummaryThe Senior Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for driving continuous improvement efforts on the manufacturing floor for HellermannTyton. This role is responsible for analyzing current production processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing strategies to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety. The senior engineer will mentor other engineers and work closely with various departments including plant leadership and hourly production personnel. This will be achieved while maintaining HellermannTyton's Quality and EHS certifications by supporting all corporate policies, procedures, work instructions and required documentation.Essential Functions:

    Effectively lead project teams.Understand processing capabilities and tolerances (plastics).Analyze work standards to improve labor utilization.Ability to analyze complex data sets to drive improvements in process and operations.Ability to teach and train Lean and Six Sigma concepts (DMAIC).Lead or support new equipment specification, design, installation, commissioning, and qualification activites.

    Other Functions

    Conceptualize and develop prototype solutions and designs.Define appropriate technical approaches to solve problems and develop solutions.Connect projects to P&L Statement.Other duties as assigned.

    Success in this role will require

    Proficient use of MES and ERP systems.Competence of Plastics Manufacturing (materials and molds).Ability to mentor young engineers.Systems ThinkingConflict ManagementInfluence Skills

    What You'll Bring

    Bachelor's Degree in Engineering8+ years of engineering experience (in manufacturing preferred)Injection molding expertise preferredProject Management SkillsKnowledge of the Toyota Production System (Lean Manufacturing)Six Sigma (preferred) or Green Belt CertifiedMust have a valid driver's license, with an acceptable driving record, along with adequate insuranceStrong written and verbal communication skills
