Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a Senior Manufacturing Engineer role in Phoenix, AZ. Key Responsibilities:
Lead the development, implementation, and optimization of manufacturing processes for precision-machined components.
Program, troubleshoot, and optimize CNC equipment using a variety of programming languages and CAM software.
Provide technical leadership and engineering support to production teams to improve efficiency, quality, and throughput.
Develop manufacturing methods, tooling, fixtures, and work instructions for new and existing products.
Analyze production processes and implement continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and increase productivity.
Collaborate with machining, quality, maintenance, and leadership teams to resolve complex manufacturing challenges.
Support new product introductions from concept through full-scale production.
Review engineering drawings, GD&T, specifications, and customer requirements to ensure manufacturability.
Identify opportunities for automation, process improvements, and cost reduction.
Mentor junior engineers and machinists while serving as a technical resource throughout the organization.
Ensure compliance with company quality standards, safety requirements, and customer specifications.
Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in a precision machining or manufacturing environment.
Extensive experience working in a machine shop with CNC mills, lathes, and advanced machining processes.
Strong knowledge of multiple CNC programming languages and manufacturing programming platforms, with the ability to program and troubleshoot a wide range of equipment.
Proficiency with CAD/CAM software and manufacturing process development.
Strong understanding of GD&T, blueprint interpretation, tooling, fixtures, cutting parameters, and machining best practices.
Proven experience leading process improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.
Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across engineering, production, and leadership teams.
Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
What We Offer:
$135,000 – $155,000 annually (DOE).
