Our goal is simple: bring products to market faster, smarter, and with flawless execution.We are looking for a self-motivated, innovation-minded Manufacturing Engineer to join our team and help advance model-based manufacturing simulation and emulation. In this role, you will lead virtual simulation and emulation efforts, support the evaluation and deployment of new hardware and software solutions, and help drive GM's 100% virtual manufacturing engineering vision.What You'll DoLead virtual simulation and emulation initiatives that support manufacturing engineering and digital transformation effortsCreate and improve standardized virtual engineering processes that drive efficiency across equipment sourcing and project executionSupport the storage, processing, and accessibility of data across multiple platforms to enable scalability and collaborationPartner with Process Engineering Leads and Machine Tool Builders to develop digital twins of physical manufacturing systems for simulation, testing, and real-time monitoringEvaluate, design, and optimize manufacturing systems using Teamcenter Manufacturing Process Planner, Process Simulate, Integrated Emulation, and XR toolsCollaborate with Central Lead Manufacturing Engineers and IT teams to ensure consistency in simulation and emulation project execution across propulsion programs and manufacturing disciplinesProvide technical direction for the investigation, business integration testing, and deployment of both new and legacy virtual software and hardware utilitiesStay current on advancements in process simulation technology, industry trends, and emerging best practicesRequired Qualifications5+ years of manufacturing experience5+ years of hands‑on experience with Siemens PLM and CAD systems, preferably NX3+ years of hands‑on experience with Siemens Tecnomatix Process Simulate or similar platformsBasic understanding of PLC and robot programming, preferably FanucExposure to Agile methodologies and toolsExperience with business integration testingFamiliarity with powertrain components and manufacturing processesKnowledge of data modeling and system architectureBachelor's degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent practical experiencePreferred QualificationsExperience with XR technologiesFamiliarity with GM Dual Check Safety Standards and Global Common Controls StructureExperience in project execution3D modeling experience, preferably in NXExperience with CAM and/or CNC machining, with NX CAM preferred#J-18808-Ljbffr
