Senior Marketing Manager - Affordable Housing

Location: Irvine, CA (Primarily On-Site; Remote Fridays)
Compensation: $90,000 Base Salary

About the Opportunity

Our client, a respected affordable housing organization, is seeking a Senior Marketing Manager to lead and execute marketing initiatives that drive occupancy, enhance brand visibility, and support portfolio growth. This role is ideal for a strategic and hands-on marketing professional with experience in affordable housing, digital marketing, lead generation, and property marketing platforms.

This position is based at the corporate office in Irvine, CA and is primarily on-site, with the flexibility to work remotely on Fridays.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to support affordable housing communities and portfolio objectives.
  • Manage digital advertising campaigns, SEO/SEM initiatives, social media efforts, and lead generation programs.
  • Ensure all marketing materials and campaigns comply with Fair Housing advertising regulations.
  • Analyze campaign performance and generate actionable reports to optimize marketing effectiveness.
  • Manage relationships with marketing vendors, agencies, and external partners.
  • Oversee community marketing initiatives and maintain brand consistency across all channels.
  • Collaborate closely with property operations teams and executive leadership to support leasing and occupancy goals.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging marketing opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of marketing experience, preferably within multifamily housing, affordable housing, real estate, or property management.
  • Strong knowledge of affordable housing marketing and Fair Housing regulations.
  • Experience with digital advertising, SEO/SEM, social media marketing, and lead generation strategies.
  • Proficiency with marketing analytics, reporting, and performance measurement.
  • Experience managing vendors, agencies, and marketing budgets.
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • Yardi
    • RentCafé
    • Apartments.com
    • Zillow
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and marketing design tools such as Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Ability and willingness to travel as needed.
