Role Summary
We are seeking a forward‑thinking and experienced commercial marketing leader to drive downstream marketing strategy and execution for Hologic's molecular instrumentation portfolio, including systems, automation, software, and consumables. In this role, you will be responsible for translating portfolio strategy into high‑impact go‑to‑market plans, driving demand, accelerating adoption, and maximizing commercial performance across global markets.
The successful candidate will bring deep experience in commercial downstream marketing within diagnostics, life sciences, or medical technology, with a proven ability to partner cross‑functionally with sales, upstream marketing, product management, service, and regional teams. This role is critical to how Hologic's molecular instrumentation solutions are positioned, launched, and commercialized to deliver sustained growth and customer value.
Job Expectations
Commercial & Go‑to‑Market Strategy
- Lead global downstream marketing strategy for the molecular instrumentation portfolio, ensuring effective execution across lifecycle stages-from launch through maturity
- Develop and execute integrated go‑to‑market plans aligned to portfolio strategy, regional needs, and commercial objectives
- Define value propositions, positioning, and messaging that clearly articulate differentiated customer and clinical value
- Partner with regional commercial teams to adapt global strategies for local market execution
Commercialization
- Own downstream commercialization for new product launches, including launch readiness, messaging, campaign execution, and sales activation
- Lead marketing initiatives to drive adoption, utilization, upgrades, and cross‑sell opportunities across the installed base
- Collaborate with product management to influence lifecycle priorities using market feedback and commercial insights
Market, Customer & Competitive Insights
- Lead development of customer segmentation, personas, workflows, and use‑case messaging for molecular instrumentation and laboratory automation solutions
- Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitive activity; translate insights into actionable commercial strategies
- Partner with upstream marketing and product teams to ensure customer and market insights inform portfolio and roadmap decisions
Sales Enablement & Field Engagement
- Develop high‑impact sales tools, collateral, training, and messaging to enable commercial teams globally
- Act as a key partner to sales leadership, supporting field engagement, customer meetings, and strategic opportunities
- Ensure sales teams are equipped to articulate value across systems, software, consumables, and workflow solutions
Campaigns, Performance & Optimization
- Lead development of downstream marketing campaigns to drive awareness, demand generation, and portfolio penetration
- Define and track KPIs to assess marketing effectiveness, adoption trends, and commercial impact
- Continuously optimize programs and messaging based on performance data and field feedback
Stakeholder Engagement & Influence
- Serve as a commercial marketing leader and internal advocate for customer and field needs
- Collaborate closely with cross‑functional partners including upstream marketing, sales, regional teams, service, and operations
- Build strong relationships with key customers and external stakeholders to inform commercialization strategy
Key Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, Marketing, or related field
- Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in downstream marketing, product marketing, or commercial marketing roles within diagnostics, life sciences, or medical technology
- Demonstrated success driving go‑to‑market execution, product launches, and lifecycle marketing initiatives
- Experience supporting complex instrumentation, capital equipment, or system‑based solutions with global scope
- Strong business and financial acumen with the ability to assess commercial impact
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, and influencing skills across all organizational levels
- In‑depth understanding of molecular diagnostics laboratories, workflows, and customer segments preferred

The total compensation range for this role is $132,000 - $206,500. This is based on a base salary and commission plan combination. Final compensation packages will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, territory/ geography, education, business needs, market demand and performance versus quota.
