    Job Description

Do you want to decide where a fast-growing business places its next marketing bet - and prove whether it paid off? Enterprise security is one of the fastest-growing areas at Amazon Web Services (AWS), and it is a place where we form a hypothesis, run the experiment, and learn quickly what works and what does not. In this role you own the analysis behind those decisions: you measure how our marketing initiatives perform, diagnose which ones are moving the business, and recommend where we should invest to get the greatest return.

You pull together signals from customer research, campaign and web data, and product usage to build a data-based view of what is working, and then partner with product management, finance, go-to-market, and sales teams to pressure-test that view and turn it into a recommendation: where to double down, where to stop, what to test next, and what net-new initiatives we should design and launch. You move between deep analysis and initiative design, turning data and customer insight into a point of view that shapes how we grow. If you thrive at the intersection of marketing, data, and technology and want to shape how AWS grows its security business, this role is for you.

    Key job responsibilities

Partner with product management and go-to-market teams to develop portfolio-level strategy and guide prioritization of marketing investment across the security and observability portfolio.

Measure how marketing initiatives perform, and diagnose which ones are driving pipeline, awareness, and revenue.

Analyze and synthesize data from multiple sources, including direct customer feedback, to identify what is working, where to invest for the greatest return, and where to stop.

Design experiments and measurement plans that test marketing hypotheses, and validate those hypotheses through customer research and direct customer engagement.

Partner with our technical PMMs to turn your insights into positioning and messaging that clearly articulates the value of the portfolio to customers and helps drive demand.

Partner with engineering, finance, go-to-market, and sales teams to build a shared view of what is working and what is not, and translate it into growth plans and recommendations for leaders.

    About Company

At Amazon, we don’t wait for the next big idea to present itself. We envision the shape of impossible things and then we boldly make them reality. So far, this mindset has helped us achieve some incredible things. Let’s build new systems, challenge the status quo, and design the world we want to live in. We believe the work you do here will be the best work of your life.

Wherever you are in your career exploration, Amazon likely has an opportunity for you. Our research scientists and engineers shape the future of natural language understanding with Alexa. Fulfillment center associates around the globe send customer orders from our warehouses to doorsteps. Product managers set feature requirements, strategy, and marketing messages for brand new customer experiences. And as we grow, we’ll add jobs that haven’t been invented yet.

    It’s Always Day 1
At Amazon, it’s always “Day 1.” Now, what does this mean and why does it matter? It means that our approach remains the same as it was on Amazon’s very first day – to make smart, fast decisions, stay nimble, invent, and stay focused on delighting our customers. In our 2016 shareholder letter, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos shared his thoughts on how to keep up a Day 1 company mindset. “Staying in Day 1 requires you to experiment patiently, accept failures, plant seeds, protect saplings, and double down when you see customer delight,” he wrote. “A customer-obsessed culture best creates the conditions where all of that can happen.” You can read the full letter here

    Our Leadership Principles
Our Leadership Principles help us keep a Day 1 mentality. They aren’t just a pretty inspirational wall hanging. Amazonians use them, every day, whether they’re discussing ideas for new projects, deciding on the best solution for a customer’s problem, or interviewing candidates.
