SENIOR MASTER PLANNER(Permanent) Our client, a global manufacturing organization headquartered in WNY, is looking to add a Senior Master Planner to their growing team. This is a critical role that acting as the organization’s planning subject matter expert.
Responsibilities:
Perform production scheduling, forecasting, capacity planning, and inventory optimization
Create detailed production plans that include and balance manufacturing capabilities, material availability, business priorities, and customer requirements
Act as an owner of production scheduling, identifying risks that may impact delivery timelines
Make adjustments to schedules, expedite orders, and shift priorities as issues arise while ensuring minimal disruption to operations
Maintain ERP/MRP system accuracy, planning parameters, and data integrity
Support Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) through forecasting efforts, planning recommendations, and analyzing potential scenarios
Gather data and analyze demand trends, operational performance, and previous forecasts in an effort to improve planning accuracy moving forward
Provide inventory projections and capacity analyses
Identify various risks—inventory/supply, capacity, etc.—in an effort to proactively alleviate issues
Create and monitor lead initiatives & inventory targets while overseeing excess/slow-moving/obsolete levels in an effort to improve inventory turns and maintain customer service levels
Act as the subject matter expert for planning and the resource for other teams to rely on
Provide clear and effective production/inventory strategies as new product introductions occur
Spearhead lead-time reduction, scheduling, delivery performance, and inventory optimization initiatives
Utilize data analytics to identify areas for improvement and trends
Create and improve planning policies/procedures, standard work practices, and documentation policies
Work well in a team environment as well as independently
Other duties as assigned/as necessary
Details:
Position is full-time, direct hire
100% in-office
Some travel to customer sites may be required (5-10%)
$85,000 - $100,000 annually depending on experience
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Operations Management, or related
5+ years’ experience in a production planning, master scheduling, supply chain planning, etc., role
Excellent computer skills
Knowledge of capacity planning, inventory management, forecasting, production scheduling, ERP/MRP systems
Professional demeanor and ability to interact with employees
Great interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
Strong organization skills, analytical, and time management skills
Meticulous attention to detail
Self-motivated
