The Senior Materials & Inventory Coordinator for the Kenosha WI Plant, plays a critical role in supporting manufacturing operations by ensuring material availability, inventory accuracy, and alignment with production schedules. This Senior Materials & Inventory Coordinator position is responsible for coordinating production orders, monitoring material requirements and shortages, maintaining accurate inventory and WIP transactions within SAP/ERP systems, and partnering with Purchasing, Scheduling, and Operations to resolve material constraints. The Senior Materials & Inventory Coordinator role also supports cycle counts, physical inventory activities, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives focused on optimizing material flow, inventory accuracy, and production efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
Release and prioritize production orders in support of manufacturing schedules.
Ensure materials and components are available and delivered to production lines to support building requirements.
Monitor material shortages and coordinate recovery plans with Purchasing, Scheduling, and Operations.
Manage and maintain accurate WIP and inventory transactions within SAP/ERP systems.
Perform cycle counts and investigate inventory discrepancies.
Support training of Material Handlers
Support annual physical inventory and inventory audits.
Drive continuous improvement activities related to material flow and inventory control.
Requirements:
Associate degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, Manufacturing, or a related field, or equivalent combination of High School Diploma and 4 plus years of materials management experience.
Bachelor's degree is preferred in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, Manufacturing, or a related field
4+ years of experience in materials management, inventory control, production planning, manufacturing operations, or supply chain.
Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment.
Experience using SAP, ERP, or other manufacturing/inventory management systems.
Strong understanding of inventory control, material flow, production orders, and manufacturing schedules.
Experience investigating inventory discrepancies and maintaining accurate inventory records.
Ability to prioritize multiple production and material requirements in a fast-paced environment.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to identify material shortages and coordinate recovery actions.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with Purchasing, Planning, Operations, and Manufacturing teams.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate system and inventory records.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
