Senior Materials EngineerOur client is a leading manufacturer of high-performance permanent magnet materials serving aerospace, defense, medical, energy, and industrial markets. They are seeking a Senior Materials Engineer to support new material development, process innovation, and manufacturing optimization efforts within a highly technical production environment.Job DescriptionDevelop and optimize manufacturing processes for permanent magnet production.Lead efforts to develop new magnetic material grades and improve material performance.Collaborate with Quality and Operations to maintain work instructions, pFMEAs, BOMs, and manufacturing documentation.Research, evaluate, and implement new manufacturing technologies and equipment.Support equipment qualification, installation, validation, and process startup activities.Drive Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives to improve quality, throughput, and cost performance.Conduct root cause investigations and implement corrective actions for process and production issues.Perform material characterization, testing, and failure analysis activities.Lead pilot projects related to new materials, processes, and technologies.Provide technical support for production operations including melt, milling, powder processing, pressing, and sintering.Analyze manufacturing and testing data to improve process performance and product quality.Interface directly with customers to provide technical recommendations and manufacturing guidance.Support business development and research initiatives through technical expertise and project leadership.Contribute to technical publications, presentations, and knowledge-sharing efforts across the organization.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
