How you'll make an impact

  • Design and develop mechanical components for power and distribution transformers
  • Create detailed 2D drawings and 3D CAD models aligned with specifications
  • Perform calculations for strength, vibration, thermal expansion, and structural integrity
  • Partner with electrical engineers to deliver optimized, integrated designs
  • Support manufacturing teams with technical guidance and design improvements
  • Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and FMEA activities
  • Collaborate with suppliers on material selection and component validation
  • Contribute to testing, troubleshooting, and continuous product improvement
  • Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in mechanical design, ideally in transformers or heavy equipment
  • Strong knowledge of materials, fabrication methods, and mechanical design principles
  • Proficiency in CAD tools such as AutoCAD, Creo, or Inventor
  • Familiarity with industry standards (IEEE, ANSI, CSA)
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem‑solving and attention to detail
