Job Summary

Seeking a Senior Mechanical Design & Project Engineer with 7 10 years of mechanical design experience and a minimum of 4 years of hands-on Autodesk Revit experience. The role requires strong expertise in 3D modeling, 2D drafting, GD&T, tolerance stack-up, DFMA, BOMs, and engineering documentation, combined with the ability to manage engineering projects from concept through delivery. The candidate will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage project schedules, risks, changes, and deliverables, and ensure compliance with applicable engineering, quality, and regulatory standards within a medical device environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop medical device components, assemblies, and systems.
• Create and maintain 3D models and 2D engineering drawings using Autodesk Revit.
• Conduct and participate in design, model, and milestone reviews.
• Apply GD&T, tolerance stack-up, DFMA, and material selection principles.
• Develop and maintain BOMs, engineering documentation, and configuration records.
• Manage engineering projects from concept, design, development, and delivery.
• Plan and track project schedules, milestones, resources, deliverables, and dependencies.
• Manage scope, risks, issues, change requests, and project priorities.
• Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, quality, suppliers, and customers.
• Lead technical discussions, project reviews, and stakeholder meetings.
• Provide project status, performance, budget, and schedule reporting.
• Support effort estimation, resource planning, and budget tracking.
• Ensure engineering deliverables meet quality, safety, regulatory, and customer requirements.
• Support PLM/PDM, configuration management, and engineering change processes.
• Mentor engineering team members and drive continuous improvement.

Skills Required

Technical Skills

• 7 10 years of mechanical design engineering experience.
• 4+ years Autodesk Revit mandatory.
• Advanced 3D modeling and 2D drafting.
• Strong GD&T and engineering drawing interpretation.
• Tolerance stack-up analysis.
• DFMA and material selection.
• BOM creation and engineering documentation.
• PLM/PDM and configuration management.
• Knowledge of ASME, ISO, and ANSI standards.
• Experience with engineering change management.

Project Management Skills

• Engineering project management from concept through delivery.
• Project planning, scheduling, resource management, and risk management.
• Scope, change, issue, and milestone management.
• Project estimation, budget tracking, and performance reporting.
• Experience with Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, Jira, or equivalent.
• Knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid methodologies.
• Strong customer, supplier, and stakeholder management.

Qualification

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, or equivalent certification preferred.
