Work Schedule: Mon-Fri: Every other Friday off

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and execute product design activities in accordance with project cost and schedule constraints.
  • Develop conceptual designs into a mature product solution.
  • Manage technical risk through identification, prioritization of risk mitigation activities, and data-driven design changes.
  • Develop engineering standards and design guides to support continuous improvement.
  • Work to Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) principles and manage Critical to Quality requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal and external customers, suppliers, and various engineering teams to develop systems and products.
  • Coach junior engineers within the specified domain.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 3 years of system, product design, development, and/or production design problem resolution experience.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without corporate sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Must be a U.S. person as defined by ITAR (U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, Political Asylee, or Refugee).
  • Demonstrated technical leadership skills working with a cross-functional team.
  • Ability to work mostly autonomously with some oversight from a technical leader or engineering manager.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency with SolidWorks 3D CAD and understanding of drawing standards and application of GD&T.

Preferred Skills:

  • Master’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Design for Six Sigma Greenbelt or Blackbelt certification.
