Work Schedule: Mon-Fri: Every other Friday off Responsibilities: Coordinate and execute product design activities in accordance with project cost and schedule constraints. Develop conceptual designs into a mature product solution. Manage technical risk through identification, prioritization of risk mitigation activities, and data-driven design changes. Develop engineering standards and design guides to support continuous improvement. Work to Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) principles and manage Critical to Quality requirements. Collaborate with internal and external customers, suppliers, and various engineering teams to develop systems and products. Coach junior engineers within the specified domain. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited institution. Minimum of 3 years of system, product design, development, and/or production design problem resolution experience. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without corporate sponsorship now or in the future. Must be a U.S. person as defined by ITAR (U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, Political Asylee, or Refugee). Demonstrated technical leadership skills working with a cross-functional team. Ability to work mostly autonomously with some oversight from a technical leader or engineering manager. Strong written and verbal communication and collaboration skills. Proficiency with SolidWorks 3D CAD and understanding of drawing standards and application of GD&T. Preferred Skills: Master’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited institution. Design for Six Sigma Greenbelt or Blackbelt certification.
