I'm partnering with a growing manufacturer that is seeking a Senior Development Engineer to play a key role in the development and launch of innovative commercial products.
\n
This is a highly visible position focused on leading mechanical product development efforts from concept through production while working closely with suppliers, cross-functional teams, and senior stakeholders.
\n
What You'll Do
\n
\n Lead product development projects through a structured stage-gate development process. \n Design and develop high-volume injection molded plastic components and assemblies. \n Create and review production-ready CAD models, drawings, and technical documentation. \n Partner with external manufacturing suppliers to mature designs and support successful product launches. \n Drive technical reviews, risk assessments, design validation activities, and product release efforts. \n Collaborate with engineering, quality, manufacturing, sourcing, and project teams throughout the product lifecycle. \n Ensure designs meet performance, quality, reliability, and manufacturability requirements. \n Provide technical leadership within project teams and support the growth of future engineering talent. \n Contribute to the development of engineering best practices, standards, and processes. \n \n
What We're Looking For
\n
\n Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. \n 5+ years of product development experience in a structured engineering environment. \n Strong experience designing production-level injection molded plastic components. \n Experience bringing products from concept through commercial launch. \n Proficiency with 3D CAD and mechanical design fundamentals. \n Experience working with external suppliers or contract manufacturers. \n Strong understanding of design reviews, technical approvals, risk management, and development milestones. \n Ability to influence decisions, challenge assumptions, and drive sound engineering outcomes. \n Proven track record supporting high-volume manufactured products. \n \n
