The Senior Mechanical Engineer position is an exciting opportunity to join PM Group’s quickly growing Raleigh-Durham area team in Apex, NC. Together we will all be sharing knowledge, learning, growing, and continuing to be an integral part of supporting PM Group’s ongoing expansion in the US. Our office will be executing cutting-edge projects for Pharmaceutical, Biologics, Cell & Gene Therapy facilities – from feasibility through to qualification – for both local and international clients. Together with our clients and partners, we will deliver projects that improve the everyday lives of people across the globe.
This is a senior-level career position and we are looking for an Engineer who enjoys client interaction as well as the technical aspects of the position. This individual needs to have an understanding of the technical aspects of mechanical design engineering including but not limited to HVAC, plant utilities, and process utilities interfaces design. The ability to successfully handle multiple real-time complex project and operational tasks as well as maintain a strong work ethic and drive to deliver for clients as a collaborative colleague are a must for this role. The Senior Mechanical Engineer will be mentored by high level Mechanical Engineering team members and will develop design documents such as P&ID’s, utility consumption summaries, plant & process utility distribution systems, pressurization plans, airflow diagrams, ductwork & piping plans, equipment/construction specifications, temperature & humidity control calculations, etc. They will also be involved with the mentoring and development to less experienced mechanical engineering team members. Expect project work to include all levels of design: feasibility studies, conceptual & schematic design, construction documentation, and construction administration. Project sizes will vary and will consist primarily of life science industry projects doing both existing building improvements and new construction.
