Senior Mechanical Engineer / Project Manager (8+ Years Experience)
Location: Clarks Summit, PA (Onsite with Hybrid Fridays)
Salary Range: $105,000 - $140,000 (based on experience, project management background, and licensure)

Position Overview
A multidisciplinary architecture and engineering firm is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer / Project Manager with 8+ years of experience in HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection design to join its MEP team. This role involves leading projects from concept through construction, mentoring junior staff, coordinating across disciplines, and maintaining strong client relationships.
Projects include healthcare, educational, commercial, industrial, and institutional facilities throughout PA, NY, and NJ.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the design and analysis of HVAC systems including air distribution, hydronic systems, equipment selection, and controls concepts
Oversee plumbing and fire protection system coordination and design
Manage projects through all phases including design, documentation, coordination, and construction administration
Mentor and support junior engineering staff and designers
Coordinate with architects, MEP disciplines, owners, contractors, and consultants
Support energy modeling and life cycle cost analysis efforts
Attend client meetings and provide technical leadership throughout project lifecycle
Ensure compliance with applicable building and energy codes
Preferred Qualifications
Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
Prior project management experience within an MEP consulting environment
Experience with healthcare, educational, commercial, or industrial facilities
Strong client-facing communication and leadership abilities

Qualifications / Requirements
Bachelor"s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience
8+ years of mechanical consulting engineering experience focused on HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems
Strong experience with HVAC system design, mechanical equipment selection, and multidisciplinary coordination
Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or Revit along with strong project management and communication skills
